Target group being given Energy Dense Food.
The Energy Dense Food Unit of Shikaripura Nutrition Pilot Project was inaugurated at Ambargoppa, Shikaripura Block on 10/10/2013 by Honorable MP, Sri. B.Y. Raghavendra, Shimoga District and Shri. Vipul Bansal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Shimoga District.
The Awareness Campaign containing nutrition messages for behaviour change through local television and radio was inaugurated by Dr. Suresh K. Mohammed, IPS, Mission Director(NRHM), Karnataka.
The Energy Dense Food Unit of Gubbi Nutrition Pilot Project was inaugurated at Nittur, Gubbi Block on 28/09/2013 by Shri. K S Satyamurthy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Tumkur District.
Installation of Machinery for production is in progress.
Ongoing IEC activities in the Mission Blocks.
Data Entry regarding the beneficiaries have been completed by the Mission & the NGO's.
Base line survey has been completed in all the Three Blocks.
All Village Nutrition Volunteers have been trained in all the Three Blocks.
Village Nutrition Volunteers & Supervisors have been selected by the NGO's.
District Health Officers of Gubbi, Shikaripura and Bellary signing MOU's with Selected NGO's.
