Feedback from the Field after Shakti vita (Energy Food)

Feedback after consumption of Shakti Vita from a small sample of beneficiaries of the targeted groups form Masarkal, Galag, Koppar, Jalahalli, H N Tanda, S N Tanda, KallappanTanda and Harashanigi villages of Devadurga Block

7 to 36 months children: 20
Adolescent girls: 18
Lactating Mothers: 17
Pregnant women: 12

Most of the beneficiaries expressed satisfaction about the quality of Shakti Vita.

They have expressed that they feel stronger than before and incidence of common illnesses has reduced

Their food consumption pattern has changed. Now they consume locally available vegetables, fruits, milk products in addition to Shakti Vita and their regular food

Most of the adolescent girls interviewed, have expressed that their school attendance and performance has improved

The questionnaire was prepared by Karnataka Comprehensive Nutrition Mission (KCNM)

The survey was done by Shri Ramesh M. Raichur, Consultant, Project Management, KCNM, during his recent visit to Devadurga Block in May 2017.
